I am looking to pick this lounge and foot stool up for the low low of $100 for the chair and foot stool. But wanted to get your thoughts on if its worth it. I only have this one picture of it. It needs some tlc and a recover in some color more appealing. I have done a lot of research and yet to find another lounger just like this one. Pay close attention to the head rest brackets they are made of wood and have a curve in them. This set is without a doubt at least 40 years old. It also has 4 legs on the base and stool rather than the eames 5 legs and 4 on the stool, i know this is common among the knock off's but i also wanted to point out that the seat base and back are connected unlike others i have seen but the headrest is the normal eames style. One more notable design item is the wooden oval that covers the mechanics of the chair base and stool. Overall the wood is in great shape and so are the bases. just more less needs recovering. Any insight would be great but before you ask. Yes I did look on both pieced for any indications of make or year. and i couldnt find anything. It does have some exposed screws but that would only help if it were in fact a real eames or knock off lounger. This in fact is something totally different but the same. PLEASE HELP
Yow.
Wait till the meds wear off.
Do not get behind the wheel of a car.
Don't worry.
It will still be there next week...for 50 bucks.
It's funky. Porno style.
Here are some photos to support my thoughts.
Only if the photos were not cropped you would
find it in these interiors...
Hint.
Give it the smell test before bringing it home.

What is your original question? Are you asking if that chair is worth 100 dollars? If you are going to reupholster, then, obviously, no. Reupholstering would cost way, way more than that hideous chair would ever be worth.
Or, are you wondering who manufactured it? The only clue I can give you is that my Plycraft Mr. Chair also has one of those wooden rings around the bottom swivel mechanism.
Buy the white lamps instead.
Thanks Heath2
your the only one who gave any helpful insight. maybe its because we have the same name!
All i am really looking for is to any thoughts on the actual make of the chair. I know its not the sought after eames lounger but could it have been another model in production that didnt last. This seems to be very rare because no one can give any positive info on it. meaning you have never seen a chair exactly as this one. And i have spent hours looking through images on google. I can have it recovered for about 150.
dude, the fact that nobody...
dude, the fact that nobody here can tell about must surely mean that it is an obscure prototype indeed (or that one of us has silently gone and purchased the sucka behind your back).
I invoke rule #1 of shopping: if
a)you like it, and
b)it's not significantly more $ than a non-"designed" version of the same thing, and
c) you need one--JUST BUY IT.
I think it's more of a...
I think it's more of a "Trish" trying to be a "Penelope"
I can assure you it isn't some prototype. And even if it's rare it could be for reasons like not selling well or being the creation of some smaller, less prominent manufacturer. There are gobs and gobs of retro furniture that we haven't seen. The handful of designer icons are way outnumbered in comparison to what has been created.
If you like it, buy it!!! Not everything has to have a name. One of my prized possessions is a little wooden turtle ottoman with cushion back from my grandmother's house .... and and anonymous danish wall unit ... living among design icons. It makes it "real."
Cheers.
