Just stumbled upon news that the Russel Wright Studios, run by his surviving family members, are announcing the reissue of Wright's iconic American Modern dinnerware! It's a real pleasant surprise and I bet it'll sell nearly as well as Fiesta, if they can get it in the right stores and it's popularly priced and dishwasher safe.

Young people will like the design of this stuff, I'm sure.

Check out the link for further information.

Some of his designs were...
Some of his designs were reissued and discontinued just a few years ago as well. I remember them being in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. A friend of mine purchased a large quantity of it. In his experience many pieces broke easily. Some even broke in the dishwasher. I wonder if this reissue will be any better?

Besides
it's time for Macy's to retire featuring Fiesta Ware and that tacky Martha Stewart crap as the best of 'fashionable' everyday bright dinnerware.
The Russel Wright American Modern will look really nice in their place, especially since Bloomingdale's has the exclusivity on the beautiful solid white (and rather expensive) Eva Zeisel 101 collection.

My wife and I like it quite a lot.

Not sure which is more mazing...
Selling Russel Wright T-shirts and tote bags
Or selling them BEFORE they even start selling the dishes!
Since when did people start buying promo t's and tote's for dishes?!
Oh, well, people buy promo T-s and totes forevery thing else. Why not dishes? 🙂
