Would love some help identifying this lovely plywood armchair. Pinched for a paltry 20. bux from a source near University of Toronto (Toronto, Canada).
It has been refinished with that gawdawful stain that was popular as an "antique"
finish in the late 60's early 70's a sort of milky brown dud.
I was attracted to its Robin Day-esque arms and despite its ugly pug appearance it is ergonomically perfect and exceptionally comfortable to sit on. Looks like it was meant to fold but it does not. Round mortise and tenon joinery and what appears to be one of the earlier examples of our Canadian "Robertson" screws.

Jan Kuypers
That is a Nipigon Chair designed by Jan Kuypers for Imperial Stratford Canada. They were made with and without arms. I love those chairs. They are so nice, and surprisingly comfortable. They are also pretty rare, so enjoy your $20 find. For more info. you can check here. Woohoo, my first legit ID!

That's pretty cool...
Looks like a folding chair, but it's not...?
