I have finest my latest project.
The cupboard with desk is made out of stainless steel, full beech wood tinted with black chinese ink and finish with wax. Its blind mounted on the wall, the back is chip wood with a silver finish. I like to now what you think of it?

tktoo, thank you for the nice compliment. I am not a professional, but sometimes i can't find a object that fits in my taste. So i make them myself. The cupboard was build in 2 weeks. Experiment with the colors/painting took the most time-consuming, until I was satisfied for assembling. I don't now if you can see it on the picture, but the wood looks if it is charcoal and the grain remains intact.
The cupboard will be filled with more items worthy of display the next months, but that is the beautiful thing about having created more space:)
Very Nice!
You do possess some serious talent!
I agree that you need a bit more color to display, but I digress.
If you want me to give you my opinion on the design (if you
would like another take on it) I would notch out the shelves in front if possible where the stainless vertical rods show prominently because they are somewhat imposing.
that is the only thing i would tweak, but they are gorgeous anyway!
First rate !
I don't have a problem with the metallic, monochromatic color palette -- if that's the desired effect. Very nice work.
I'm puzzled by the structural strategy. Floor-to-ceiling post systems often provide cantilevering of the shelves, via a bracket protruding from the post. I don't see than here; are the rear edges of the shelves supported by the rear wall ? In any event, the adjustable feet are nicely sized relative to the tubing.

I think you can see de structural in this picture. The shelves are attached at the post on a narrow strip and at the rear between the chipwood panels.
The adjustable feet was a hell of a job to get them, they are from a company that makes restaurant kitchens. They are the only one with gray rubber foot and stainless steel. They are not static but they have a ball and socket joint.
.
No I don't but I will endeavour to go back there some time soon.
It was being used as a shop display and no doubt they knew of it's value.
I don't see a lot of them here as they have either perished over the years or there wasn't that many here to begin with.
And yes more images of the cabinets.

I can see the first set of images you posted from members.home.nl, but I can't see any of your later homedrive.ziggo.nl images... And homedrive.ziggo.nl asks me for a password every time I view this thread.
Can you copy your later images to members.home.nl and link them from there instead of from homedrive.ziggo.nl?
