Congrats and if I may offer one bit of advice: keep in mind that you can always trade up.
I've scored countless great items (furniture, decorative objects, art, housewares, etc) at auction over the the past 15 years and I loved many of them so much that I couldn't imagine every parting with them. But inevitably something of the same type as one of my "forever" pieces would come along. Fortunately for me (because otherwise I'd be a serious hoarder), I figured out early on that it was ok to let go of previous notions and move on. I'd do a sort of "pick one or die" thing to help me figure out which to keep and usually it was the old one that would go.
I don't go to auctions anymore and I've moved to a much smaller place. I'm still shedding stuff that I used to think I'd have forever, and it feels good! I feel like my collection is more honed than ever. It looks better and better as a whole, more perfect for the space I'm in and less and less like the random group of things that it was when i started.
Anyway, what I'm saying is, keep yourself open to evolution. It's just as fun as the acquisition part.

Good point, Spanky, but the difficult part is learning to let go. On a separate thread, I was debating between which 607's I should part with, and as of today, I still haven't made up my mind. I love everything I've acquired. As my wife puts it, I may have what she calls "choosing disorder"........
