Moving Forward?

After five years in the retail and web based sales of modern furniture (both classic/vintage & contemporary) I am moving forward on a new path. I've enjoyed every minute and loved being surrounded by great design but I noticed towards the end that I was missing the idea of simply being a collector. It is easy to get 'tainted' by the business side of design and forget about design itself. When you are on the outside you do not pay mind to the fact that all the companies producing and selling are in it for the money and I think I enjoyed being naïve to the fact. Also, things are more easily obtainable through wholesale and/or patrons bringing the goods to your store. I've always enjoyed scouring the flea markets and second hand shops and I am looking forward to once again starting my hunt!
