Dubious
Barry...without getting too involved in this discussion I would like to point out that georgenelson.org is a rather dubious source to cite. Most of the information on the site looks like it has been cut and pasted from a few various sources, with a number of obvious errors: i.e Herman Miller did NOT found the furniture company, he loaned the money to DJ Depree. And George Nelson was NOT introduced to Herman Miller by Howard; DJ Depree requested a meeting with Nelson after reading his article about StorageWall in Architectural Forum.
More to the point - the website draws no connection, direct or inferred, to Jacqueline Nelson.
You're probably right...
georgenelson.org doesn't update their information, nor do they have an email link for anyone to ask a question or offer corrections.
They DO, however, have the early unnumbered Nelson clock that I also have...the one that's listed strangely (without an illustration) in the Vitra Nelson catalog as "number unknown" 1949; Birch dial, satin brass center and numerials, black hands.

had no clue this one exists...beautiful!

YEAH, I have a "one that got away" story with this one...
it was at an auction here in St. Louis and it went for $1800 IIRC. Next thing you know, there it is at Wright and sells for $8400...kicking myself on one hand, but on the other, I didn't know it was as rare as it is so that makes it sting a LITTLE less.
doily clock
This clock is somewhat of a mystery, since I cannot find it in any of the old catalogs. It is real similar in construction and design to the Pleated Fan clock #2223, and its number sequence in next in line: #2224. I was lucky enough to come across one of these last year. It was in a church built in '61. In a 1995?, Rago auction a 3rd clock, very similar in design, slightly larger, sold. (I need to learn how to post pictures). So who knows what other unknown designs may be out there? If any one knows of any other clocks that are like the Pleated Fan clock or Doily clock, please share your info.
clock comparisons
Here is a link to some pictures of the 3 similar clocks, I have seen several Pleated Fan clocks over the years and now have seen 2 of the #2224 Doily clock, but this 3rd one from the Rago auction I have never seen since.
