Oh.
I was hoping you had a copy.
I pinched it from an e-bay listing.(a catalog)
I'm not a big collector of anything. But i randomly look for
one of those. It just fits my home.
Lots of cedar and teak and cork.
I made one years ago after seeing one in my bank
at Grand Central. It was huge so i left it behind...
Interesting...
that this came up because there is one of these on Chicago Craigslist right now for $175. I was just emailing a fellow "board member" about this very clock the other day.
Would go great in our Girard-themed nursery, regardless if whether it is actually his or not, but I digress...I would be interested to find out as well
...oh, and I think I just sold a clock on Craigslist in Chicago...
*EDIT*
LOL Pegboard, due to our recent correspondence, it looks as though maybe YOU bought the clock on Craigslist...unless you are SELLING...
Interesting too that there's
an Arthur Umanoff "Swing timers" with the exact same graphic design and is numbered 926. All of these 900 series Swing Timers are polystyrene with shatterproof plastic convex crystals.
I'm not sure of the color on this clock (it's a black and white photo) but the hands are the standard thin unadorned Umanoff hands.
DudeDah
Yes. It was on craigslist a couple days ago. The seller was interested in some of the things we have, so we worked out a trade.
This clock has a 2 1/2" teak surround that I have seen on other clocks, but I've never seent this face. The line drawing of the sun and the font for the numerals look like Girard, but not the style of illustration in the outer bands.
oooh-la-la
This one will go high

the "Ribwood" model#2291
or sometimes called the "60 slats" by collectors. Your right jesgord, this one should go for at least $3000. Looks like it is in pretty good shape too. It is part of the "Clocks Ahead of Time" series also from 1961. Irving Harper design. Glad I already have one so I won't be tempted.
