Paulanna, Your response to the other Rotoflex poster got me hoping that you (or anyone else) might have some answers for me. My understanding is that Rotoflex or Rotaflex? was a UK concern that made the spun and fused transparent cord shades among other things. I know they exported the shades to Europe, Canada and the U.S. Did they also export entire fixtures? Do you know about any of the companies that used these shades other Than Heifitz? I have a three headed floor lamp from the Canadian maker Richard Singer and sons Ltd. The shades are identical in construction to the Heifitz ones I have. Any thoughts? Thanks

Rotaflex were a fairly big UK maker - I don't know whether the spun shade were their patent though, may have been them, or Heifetz or someone entirely different. They made plenty of designs besides the spun plastic ones, including some made of tiny plastic rod like shapes stuck together, and of course the metal series by the Reids. Seems like Rotaflex had distribution deals with a few companies - they handled French Disderot and Geni lighting products in the UK as well
There is some good information
