Oh My! That was freakish!
Everything is so unrealistic by today's thinking:
*Plastic everything, so incredibly hard on planetary resources
*Heavy, heavy reliance on electricity. Can you imagine being in that place during a power outage!?!
*A woman who's every dream is utterly fulfilled by making dinner for her family
And yet, there's a Coconut chair and a Bertoia wire chair and some really cool looking built-ins....weird to watch, though, really weird. It was certainly a different time back then.

In an effort to embrace the Future,
I'm banishing the word "refrigerator" from my vocabulary. I now store food in my "cold zone".

All anal compulsive and controlling! Yet, when they need to find the keys to their truck, the first thing they do is say "Honey, where are my car keys?" And hevean forbid that the ketchup is behind the mayonaise in the fridge. They'll NEVER in a 1000 years find it there! 😉
We should have a Design-based "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" discussion. And our non-straight DA'ers can add to the mix by telling us where they come out on the whole equasion. I'm convinced that there are very decided ways of organizing and displaying stuff based on the whole 'hunter/gatherer' theory. Be interesting to see how it shakes out. Just look at the 'just make it stop thread' already there are some intriguing aspects to our styles.
