I have just bought a collection of furnitures. A 3+2+1 set of beautifully crafted leather furnitures. They are allegedly made in Vatne Lenestolfabrikk, Norway. There Fredrik Kayser made many wonderful sofa designs.
But this particula group has double end walls and a design looking much like børge mogensens 2235
I don't really care which of them made it. I absolutely adore them regardless. But I still would like to find out the history behind these furnitures.

Hi!
This is not made by Fredrik A. Kayser. I think it is a model designed by Sigurd Resell. I will check it out for you an post some more info and pictures. Vatne Mobler was started back in 1946 by my grandfather, Knut Saeter and is niw runned by my uncle, Per Arne Saeter. I am writing a book of the "Vatne Mobler-history" right now and will be released this summer! I will check out some info for you tomorrow!
Best Regards
Amund Saeter
wow. Thats a great response!
I sent an sms to Per Arne Sæther with a image in despair of not finding anything. I would very much like to buy two copies of your book when it is done. FYI, Lieds verktøy, my grandfathers company did the sharpening of the woodworking tools for Vatne Møbler. 🙂 Funny how small the world is, eh?
thanks for a great response! (and a great piece of furniture)
