Has any well known modernist ever designed a fishing reel? An odd question, I know, but I was cleaning my son's and my bait casting reels for going pier fishing tomorrow, and it occurred to me that reels are kind of elegant devices that have come in all kinds of forms over the years. I wondered if someone like Raymond Loewy, or someone more recent had ever done a really handsome one.
