Hello!
Holiday in Japan is just a week away.
What are your faourite spots in architecture / design? Best Areas to take pictures? What are your favourite shops? Obviously I won't buy big pieces of furniture, but everything that will fit in a suitcase will be welcome.
So, any information would be highly appreciated.

Spotted a really nice shop with vintage Japanese and Scandinavian stuff in Shibuya. Located right behind the Harajuku Oakley store (fab concrete architecture). From the outside it looks like a regular house but it has a great collection of furniture, ceramics, woodwork, etc.
You are in for a treat.
A trip to The National Art Centre in Tokyo is highly recommended. It is a stunning piece of architecture filled with the largest collection of classic Danish furniture I have ever seen under one roof.
The large park in Ueno central Tokyo is wonderful, inside you will find some interesting buildings including an art gallery by Le Corbusier and another very interesting brutalist building which sits just opposite.
My favourite vintage shop in Tokyo is a place called Hike, very high quality Danish design beautifully presented.
Modernist Heaven
Thank you, everybody. This place really is a killer and one week hardly enough to see everything. today i`m off to the japanese alps, then kyoto.
If anyone is interested, i do a little bit of tumblering. Just basic, not much text since i do it with my phone. anyway, it`s basically chairs, buildings and... well, stuff/
