Hello Design Addicts....
In search of a modern floor lamp for my living room.
Anyone familar with the Tolomeo Mega floor lamp, or have one?
Good function and aesthetics but it projects far into a room.
Any comments? Thanks!

what I saw
Zencat,
Should you be anywhere near a Saks Fifth Avenue the visual merchandising department is using the Tolomeo Mega floor lamp as a prop in their cosmetics department. It seemed to work well and looked good in that setting.

Nice guy @ Saks
Hey niceguy...
Thank you for your comment. I've seen pictures of the lamp in various setting online but I'm on the fence whether I truly want that particular look.
Both sales people at Urban lighting in SD have this lamp and really like it a lot, however they're ceilings are 9ft high and mine are only 8 ft.
If I'm lucky maybe they'll allow me to borrow the floor model for a few hours ... A visual is most helpful . Thanks for responding!

If their policy is the same
as when they were called HighLights, they'll let you buy the lamp and then return it for a full refund if you don't like it. Same as borrowing it.

Urban lighting policy
Hey you must live in SD, nice.
Well, yes if the policy remains as before it would be an ideal situation.
The floor model is "black"- wrong color for my place, however, it would definately be a good representation for scale and the look.
Only possibly glitch w/plan is perhaps they'd frown upon purchasing w/o intention of keeping it. Only the pale gray diffuser or parchment will do. But I will certainly inquire. Thanks for your suggestion!

Hey by the way...
Niceguy....
Next time I'm at fashion valley mall I'll stop in at Saks and take a peek at the tolomeo mega lamp, thanks. My best bet is to borrow a floor model from urban lighting if possible though.
Thanks!
