The barter deal I am working with one of my clients has started to produce fruit. A Modeline Hanging Lamp. She doesn't know the value nor do I, so I told her I would see about a roundabout trade value for her. Anyone have a guess to the value? I can't seem to find the same one listed anywhere.

The shade is a bit stained overall from years of whatever, but no dark stains are evident. The wood is all in good shape other than a couple minor blemishes. It works and has all the pieces. Brass shines well with only one pitted spot on the ceiling disc.

Gives off a nice soft glow
I like it. It's got a nice soft glow. Much better than the shiny brass chandelier that came with the house.

Thanks Jdip, much appreciated. I saw other Modeline lamps on Ebay, but they varied so much in style, size and price. I know she didn't pay a whole lot for it at Habitat for Humanity Restore, but I wanted to meet her somewhere in between, so she can make a little and I can still get a good deal.
It is a cool lamp. The one thing I don't like is the cord. It's the original cord and socket. I'd like a cord that isn't white.

you
can get a small diameter brass pipe and run the cord through it.

I thought about doing it in a swag with a new cord and chain, but there's an issue. I'd have to replace the socket and the hardware associated with it to change the wire, since the original wires are riveted to the socket. The hardware associated with it is attached to a three prong piece that attaches it to the inside top of the lamp. So, it may be a lot more than I'd like to get into. The seamless brass tube sounds like the idea I'm going to go with...simple, easy and only for about $5.
I appreciate the ideas!
