Can anyone shed some attribution light to this cast brass detail on mid century chairs that connects the arms to the legs? Actually, I believe the detail is brass-plating.
I came across the dining armchair version a couple of years ago at an auction, but passed on it as the construction quality did not seem very high. That one also had domed brass upholstery nails in it, which may have also influenced my decision.
Subsequently, I've seen the same cast detail pop up online occasionally for dining and lounge armchairs, often attributed to Kofod Larsen. I can't find any legitimate K-L reference online that would confirm this attribution, and my recollection of the construction had me leaning more towards American made.
Despite the different chair stylings, I would think that the common casting detail ties all these chairs to a single designer or manufacturer.
Anyone have experience with this detail?

Here is a link to some more (ID'ed as American). I'd buy the Kroehler attribution given the quality of mine (i.e., not so great).
