Any ideas of the maker or designer of this chair please help?
It looks a bit worse for wear but it would be nice to bring it back to life. looks rather neglected and lonely
Thanks D.

Yugo...
I have to admit it's a nice chair...I had one kind of like it I sold off. Does it say Made in Yugoslavia any where under it. A lot of them had those types of springs in them. It is pretty easy to bring a nice lounger like that back to life.

If it is teak (as you said), it is probably Danish or from greater Scandinavia. If it is stained beech, then the Yugoslav theory could well be right.
I don't think I've ever seen a Yugoslav in teak.

Looks like Teak to me but this shot shows it closer, I'm not by the chair unfortunately to give it the once over and asses it properly, as always its a gamble.

I'd go with teak from the...
I'd go with teak from the photo too. So very probably Scandinavian and certainly European as opposed to American. If that helps....
Given that the back has visible springs, I'd tend to think that even if you can successfully credit a designer, it won't be a big name, nor a high end maker.
By which I don't mean to insult the chair. It is a nice lounge chair. I just don't think you would discover that it is an undiscovered Wegner or anything like that.
