Hi everyone
I've just bought this at a local auction. It was really smelly and dirty so its had a good clean and polish.
Is is very basic in its construction - but I think I quite like the shape - what do you think?

Very nice.
Corner cabinets are relatively uncommon -- just the thing for certain furniture arrangements, dictated by room plan and traffic patterns, etc. Where you need one, nothing else will do . . .
Notice that the wood-grain pattern follows through from the doors to the drawer front -- a sign of care and quality. By the way, I'd love to see how that drawer works -- given the plan shape of the cabinet ! Maybe it's a drop-down door ?

Corner unit drawer
Hi,
Thank you for your comments - the drawer pulls out, it's a bit stiff, I will post an image tomorrow.
I agree with what you said about the doors and the grain it looks lovely. A problem with the design is that they are really heavy and when the cabinet is empty the weight of them makes the cabinet very unstable - it could fall onto it's front very easily, but I suppose cabinets are made for putting things in! Thanks again

Thanks.
That's odd, isn't it. In seismic zones, such as mine, cabinets are supposed to be anchored to the wall. A simple L-bracket or block, screwed to the stud(s) at the corner of the room, on top of the cabinet, would do the trick.
That's for cabinets that rise above eye level. Perhaps for your cabinet, a long screw from inside the cabinet into the corner of the room, would do the trick.

Yes great idea!
Thanks for your comments again - in the UK we don't get any earthquakes (thank goodness!!) but yes an anchor to the wall is a great idea or even attached to a short chain.
