What color to paint a slab door?
A brief description of my house design: it's a very open design with living room/kitchen sharing a common wall without any separation.
Planning on painting it an accent wall, any color suggestions?
The front door is located across from the accent wall.
Perhaps the accent paint formula could be cut in half for the front door. Or, should it be kept a neutral tone to coordinate with the neutral color on the windows flanking the door?
Wall across from the accent wall will be kept neutral unless suggestions persuade me otherwise.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
High
modernist theory would hold that the door should be the same color on both faces (interior and exterior) -- though in fact I can't recall much discussion on that aspect of the problem.
Can you achieve a color which would make equal aesthetic sense on both sides of your slab ?

Link to Palm Springs exterior doors painted various colors.
Many people these days also go with orange or turquoise.
If exterior and interior of the door are going to be the same color, then you need to also consider what it will look like from the outside
Personally, I like a wood single-light door. This one is douglas fir but also has a side-light.
