Clocks, tables...

I don't fancy them.

Discuss...

Why not?
Are you also not fond of Italian ceramics?

I like them.
I think they are a fun, modern interpretation of Roman mosaics. Some of them, I will admit, like the horsey ones and the zodiac ones are over the top.

The ceramics are OK, just OK...
They look a bit contrived as clocks though, and very much so as tables.

The tables don't thrill me
to be honest...a bit fussy and I'm basically against unusually fragile materials for everyday furniture. (Harp chair, anyone?)
I have a handful of Meridian clocks and like 'em alot.

I agree, Lunchbox...
don't care for them either. In general I'm not a huge ceramics fan. Koen deWinter, Eva Ziesel, Heath Ceramics...there are exceptions, but in general, I find them visually busy. It takes a true master like the above mentioned to develop form over glazing.
But do I have a set of Japanese raku and crackle-gazed stoneware that I just love. The simplicity and the lovely green color just do it for me. The form is so clean and the color is so inviting...food looks wonderful on these plates!
