I'm shopping for a medicine cabinet, with two sliding mirror doors with minimal detail. Ihave found one that may do, but I'm not excited about, but could live with... that one has the link below.
But I've seen some other ones when I was apartment hunting that had no frame at all. Just a quarter inch alluminum edge above and below where the track held the edge of the mirror. I just cannot find them in a store or online anywhere.
Any suggestions?
claims to be vintage...
I just found this one at The Demolition Depot that appears to be identical to the new one above (except the new one above is about 1" larger in every dimension). This one claims to be vintage from the "1940s". I'm not finding any others on their website that jump out at me. They are closed today, but I'm interested to know whether they have a larger inventory that what is shown on this website.
I most like to find one that has no frame at all.

Mirrored
glass can be adhered to any flat surface; if you find a cabinet you like, you can replace the door with a plain plywood or MDF (paintable) panel that can be hinged in the same way. A glass house can cut and polish the edges of a piece of mirror, and can adhere it -- or you can do that yourself with mirror mastic.
fit-and-finish
I'm interesting in a tight fit-and-finish. I'm also not interested in a DIY job. Thank you for looking for an alternative solution. I do appreciate the contribution. I did briefly look into having a metal shop fabricate something custom (they're already fabricating my sink for the kitchen).
