Just got back from the local thrift with a great find-a Paul McCobb coffee table! Really pleased with it-very heavy, beautifully lathed spindle legs, which screw into the bottom-even the threads are wood.Hmmm, looking at the (oak?)finish,it's got a pretty nice patina, except some lil gremlin's magic marker doodlings.Any suggestions on how to freshen up,and remove these without a total refinish? I'm thinking isopropyl alchol.

I would try
A microfiber cloth first, followed by magic eraser.
