I'm a big Scarpa fan.
If you ever go to Venice, spare a day and take the train to the magical city of Verona. There you'll find (amongst other wonders) the Castelvecchio Museum, which was restored in the mid-century by Scarpa. It's a masterclass in the sympathetic blending of old and new materials, enhancing the displays and maximising light & Space.
