I have a Mart Stam cantilever bar stool and an armchair. I'm pretty sure the armchair is a reproduction, but I can't seem to find any information on the stool. Is there a way to tell the difference between a vintage Stam and a reproduction?

Well I had the vintage...
Well I had the vintage dining chair model that came from a house full of genuine pieces.
The only thing I know for sure is they were very heavy compared to the common ones around so I believed they were genuine. You cannot mistake the weight and will know. You really need 2 hands to lift one.
As they were slightly worn they had red colour showing through the thick black leather the same as a worn Bellini Cab chair does.
They did not have the leather on the handle though.
The lady who bought them was ecstatic as she had the copies and said these were much better quality and noticed they were much heavier.
A board is stitched underside which looks like leather but it's just a black coating on an approx 4mm masonite board. It hides the back of the leather of the seat so it looks nice from underneath.
