i use maharam on almost 100 percent of all the chairs that we do cause that is what the people want, I will say they have a great budget line that starts around 25.00 a yard and it is messenger, medium, milestone the greatest colors The designers like Girard,Eames,Hoffman,Panton,Jacobsen are very expensive 90.00 wholesale, and retail for 180.00 ouch!!!
i always give cost cause we do not make money on fabric, and to say the least as far as i am concerned they are one great company to do business with,
What a smart company that they picked up the designers of the 20 th century
They are the only outlet that you can get their designs,
I just wish they would reintroduce some more of Girards designs cause it had so many, and they only sell about 15 of them but I will tell you the killer of all fabrics is Hans Hoffman his stuff designed in 1908 looks like it was introduced yesterday.
great fabric company if you need great fabric check them out
Maharam prices
Yes, they are high...but like most high-end quality companies, they are at the high-end of fair.
For example, all of their liscenced fabrics are 100% legal and they pay royalities.
Also, most of the Girard upholstery fabrics made by Herman Miller were cotton and over time, don't wear well.
Maharam has altered the content to stronger and more color-fast upholstery fabrics.
You'll pay more, but they'll hold up over time.

TONUS, kvardrat by MAHARAM would be perfect but that can be expensive since it is by kvardrat a lot of folks ask about divine melenge but to me it looks like felt even thoe it is 100 wool but it does have a cool look to it and that is what Fritz Hansen use on all the Egg chairs for Jacobsen also you might look at Messenger from maharam it turns out great every time for a solid, but if you want a cool pattern for that sofa check out Hans Hoffman fabric It looks great in a sofa.
