Magis Chair One Technical Question  

I recently acquired an Magis Chair One with the four star pedestal base. It's brand new since Herman Miller started carrying Magis.
But it doesn't swivel. I've been around and round in circles with Herman Miller and it comes down to: Magis makes a swivel version, but Herm won't carry it.
The chair looks like it could be converted into a swivel, but I don't want to tear it apart without asking first.
Does anyone have the swivel version? Is this something that could be converted from the static version?
