I find your interest in '57 and a background in earlier decades as a dealer
fascinating and charming. I think you have a good eye by past experience,
and you'll have a great time putting together your new home.
I've recently done the same. Though i've only had friends in the antique
business, i know the challenges keeping up with what is going to sell, etc.
(uuggh the laquer booth one friend set up in his basement to strip
everything oak and brass and shine it up for the country kitchen.)

you are tricking out a new home. congrats! i think you will have a fun time of
it. Looks like you are willing to do the research needed for the MCM era.
Don't get rid of some old favorites from an earlier time. Some older pieces
work really well with some mid-century pieces.
