He, I used to love Ren and Stimpy...'you eidiooot' LOL but Spongebob has a tendency to annoy me 😛 And I also have the cartoons 'Daria' and 'Beavis and Butthead' on DVD. Oh, and 'Danger Mouse' too.
I'll watch anything from comedy, action, drama, romance, sci-fi, horror, martial arts, foreign, westerns, and I have a huge collection of bad b-horror and sci-fi LOL

Resurrecting this thread to ask for some feedback, if you don't mind!
I wasn't really happy with how my TV, small though it may be, integrated into my living room. I posted a pic and one person commented that it kind of called attention to itself, being along on a small table, and I had to agree with that.
So I've been thinking for a while about rearranging the furniture and electronics to better integrate the television into the room (and hide electrical cords better) and this morning I finally had the motivation to do it. Here are a couple of pics. If I keep it this way, I'll have to get a rather large picture to put on the wall - it looks bare now -- but beyond that, can I ask what you all think of this change?
Thanks!

It's only
about 1000 times better.
The new coffee table is also a big improvement, and in my opinion the removal of the rug helps, too.

Thanks Fstfwd! It's really helpful to get an outside opinion. I definitely agree about ditching the rug - I am thinking of maybe putting in a much smaller rug under the coffee table - but yeah, what I had before was a mistake.

Great improvement, Gene-
But my first thought was, "needs a rug"! A rug that the chairs, sofa, and coffee table sit on. How about a nondescript sisal-y rug, low contrast against floor? Blond on Blond.

W-H-C - thank you! I think the suggestion of sisal and low-contrast is really good. Still, I'm not sure that I want to do a larger area rug. I think I'll start small and see how it looks. I appreciate the feedback and suggestions!
