I'm curious to see if anyone can name TV shows that use mid-century modern furniture. On the O.C., a bright blue Herman Miller shell chair is seen in one character's bedroom. And recently I noticed that I Dream of Jeanie used at least two of these chairs in yellow. Any other cameos by MCM furniture?
on Brothers and sisters the brother that is Gay has several mid century modern pieces in his apartment as well as the Uncle, the brother to Sally Field. All My Childen the Fusion office is all done by Herman Miller in White furniture they were the first to have the pcp eames Armshells, the Nelson swag table, The marshmellow sofa, and lots of task chairs, Great look from Herman miller I think that on American Idol they use the Eames soft pad chair that Randy, Simon, Paula sit in,
'Madmen' has just started over here (about the US advertising industry in the 50s, made by the same team as the Sopranos) lots and lots of MCM, Danish modern' great lights etc. My daughter was watching an early episode of 'Bewitched' the other day - Wegner Papa Bear in the lounge!

It seems that a lot of the stuff from Pixar and Disney uses MCM furniture as inspiration for their interiors... The whimsical playful lines of much of this periods furniture fits perfectly to be inhabited by funny cartoon characters. Some of it, such as the 'Lady' chair looks almost as if it was designed for a cartoon interior from the beginning...
And I always thought that Tony Paul's beautiful Bar Cart looked like a cartoon character on the run...
