Vodder almost always put a raised lip on the back of the sideboard, which isn't there. And as the OP noted it doesn't have the right handles on the sliding panels.
After Vodder's success with the bowtie drawer fronts, a few other companies and designers started incorporating recessed drawer pulls. Some of them blatantly "in the manner of Vodder", others less so, but reminiscent of Vodder. I would assume it is one of them.
Also, Sibast seems to have been pretty regular about marking their product (it would be a metal tag inside the piece). So the lack of a mark would also lead away from Vodder/Sibast.
pubpat..
as you know me, i never had a lot of Details, Close-up Pictures to offer. because of good reason. most of the pieces i had posted, are not in my proberty yet.
usually i buy furniture from Photos, i fall in love with a Piece and Need to call it my own:-)
the first step is to purchase the loved Piece, the second step is to find out who create it.
this Sideboard will arrives in about one week, after than i could post some Detail photos.
i will be back..
have a nice day.
Looks like a very handsome piece, Hwj.
I don't think the absence of the lip at the back is any concern. I have a vodder sideboard wich doesn't have this feature.
The handles I don't recognise as a Vodder trademark, but the right door falls open: hinges at the bottem and this was something Arne used in these long sideboards.
Also the legs are a little bulky, rounded at the top, wich is a style element of Vodder.
What's the price?
