ite--
Regarding photo size: you should be able to control size by going to the image host where you posted it.
For instance, Photobucket, which I use, allows me to "edit" > "resize" > "replace original". The image is then automatically resized, wherever I've posted it.
(Not that I'm urging to do so, just answering your question--)

Odd...
I'm reading ite's post as I wait for tea to steep in a tall jelly glass, destined to be my morning iced tea. Yup, they sure are handy!

I am here in support of
your jellies, Olive! I think they are great. I use them for storage. I picked up 8 yesterday at a flea market for 1 euro for the lot. I have never seen any really big ones like you guys are talking about though. I've only seen 375 and 500 ml. I mean, over here, these are actually used for jelly, not for glassware!

Someone mentioned Iittala...
Someone mentioned Iittala Kartio glasses as indestructible. I have those and while they are very heavy and solid, I have had to throw a couple out because they've chipped at the rim. That's over the course of probably 7 or 8 years, so while not totally indestructible, pretty good.

Yup, Riki...
They're the best and I'll stand by them any day! They are certainly modern in the sense that a Thonet cafe chair is modern so I'll happily go on using them. I've got the same sizes you do and yes, I've bought jelly in them before as well! It was a belgian cherry preserve if memory serves me.

Beautiful glassware.. Fastfwd
Please tell me where I can purchase those beautiful glasses you posted? How much are they?
ONce my kitchen remodel is complete I plan on purchasing new dishes and glassware.
Those glasses appear to be of quality and great style.
Ittalia also has some great looking glassware too.
Appears I'm late in posting as you posted back in May.
Thanks

Riedel glassware search
Fastfwd, thanks for your reply. Did you purchase yours online, which website? I must be off the track here I can't seem to find the everyday glassware, it's all stem glasses. Neiman Marcus pricing began at $24 .. but not the glasses you posted. Can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
