Some time back I got some shelving from a client. I didn't know what it was at the time, so I ended up giving part of it to a friend of mine for a house warming gift. Well, time passed...one day I asked him if he ever used it and he said, "no". So I asked if I could trade him something he could use more for it. So he did. He brought it over and to my dismay he lost one of the arms. Nothing renders a shelf more useless than a missing support.

I'm in need of one brass arm. I've thought about having a new set made at a local metal shop, but I'm not sure what it would cost to fabricate something like that. I haven't been able to find any on Ebay or Etsy. Can anyone help?

I have a wall unit that came with a remade bracket that the previous (original) owner must have made to replace a lost/broken one. The originals were in brass but the remade one is steel. I am surprised at how good the remake is, particularly because it is almost certainly home-made. if you have an original as a template, why not just try bending some rods yourself?

I thought about trying to make my own. I guess I could try a small pipe bender on some scrap to see if I could do it.
Thanks for the link.
