I find most single pedestal tables to be less stable than 4 legged ones in general.

BTW, is veneer edge original to round table Eames design? I have only seen vintage ones with vinyl edge.

Is thia type of base quite rare? It is said to be from the 50s. Is the HM stuff from the 50s of higher quality than it is today?
