I have covered a seat pad on a chair in analine dyed (wax finish) leather. As a result of the stretching the color has become lighter and I am told that in time and with use it will darken back to what it originally was.

Is there any treatment you can use that will bring it back faster and not damage the material?

I'm not sure that's true
Saddle leather waxes most definitely darken leather, but I'm not sure you want the wax on your seat. I use a product on my chairs that I really like for conditioning leather. My chairs are black so I can't tell you if the stuff darkens leather, but it sure does make it more supple. Although the product was originally developed for wood, it's natural ingredients (almond oil) seem to be really good for leather as well. I have been really impressed with how nice it keeps my chairs.

OK
Thanks Olive,
I have some pieces left over and I'll give it a shot. The color is oxblood red and it doesn't give the right effect when it's lighter in color.
