had to travel for this one but it was a lovely day, the boy was with me, and the Oregon countryside is so lovely
A single slab of California Redwood. No idea as to the vintage but the screws are slotted and domed.
LOOK AT that figuring. It was so even I actually thought it was painted at first.
Needed a cleaning very badly. Worked on it today and it already looks better than it does in the picture.

Hi minimoma.
I had that same B/O system when I was a teenager (15th birthday gift from my folks). Wish that I still had it.

Mark, you are one lucky teenager, the best my parents can give me was a portable boom box by Panasonic and it had the equalizer lights that jumps up and down like a light show in Las Vegas.

Ah heck,
I'm still a teenager..sometimes.
I'm diggin' the thought of the built in Vegas light show. That and a pair of platform shoes, you'd be pimp!
Umm um,
Your Aunt Mark

That's a slab of wood that could make a grown man cry.

the thrifting gods are smiling.
Picked up six orange armchairs, one lemon, one light ochre, and a grey sideshell last night.

Grendel: no designer on any of Foster-McDavid's case pieces. Yours seems to be from around 1960. Here you can see a little more of that line. They made chairs and tables also, and those have a named designer...

Wow. I would be seriously tempted to resaw that slab into thin veneers... insane.

I started thinking of Riki when I got the Beate Wedekind Alpine Interiors for Taschen. This is good.
