Yeah, finally got the start one of these threads!
And i get to start it of with one of my best finds in a long time.
Luxus vanity mirror in rosewood.
Its the large version in an apparently a rare, more square version of the frame (according to a dealer that saw it) with the metal three legged base.

Methinks that an innocent young Florence Knoll had that same mirror as a teen, and brushed her hair 100 strokes every night before bed/church whilst gazing into her reflection. I would, too. Very nice.
Best,
Aunt Mark

I recently purchased the Kazuyo Sejima Hanahana stainless steel mirror polished flower stand for Driade (new and unused with original artificial flowers and inserts).
I intend to replace the artificial flowers (temporarily) with poinsettias for my wife's Christmas decoration (a gift). The Hanahana will revert to an "art" flower holder after the holidays.

Today I got called by an auction house that I had the winning bid
on following items.. Therapeutic toys designed by Helene Haeusler & Renate Müller.
I bought them at a fraction of their worth (if you can put a finger
on such a thing). The auction hous has a very conservative catalogue
with lots of silver, biedermeier furniture, classical paintings..
They have no real knowledge of vintage items and this was the only
'modern' thing in the whole auction, hidden between 1200 other pieces..
I'm very, very excited by the way and over the moon!

Pulled from trash
Mesh is perfect, paint is not.

Those chair frames should be powder coated in a bright red. Very nice.

My daughter and I went to a big salvage/resale shop in the city today. She parked the car and said she had to make a work call first but then would catch up with me. I called dibs on any Danish furniture "Not that there will be any because that place has pickers and dealers crawling through it all day long" (it's huge). She reminded me of four Moller church chairs she picked up there for about $55/ea recently. I said it was just luck. I wouldn't see anything good.
Ten minutes later I was back at the car peering in at her and saying, "I TAKE IT BACK!" Because i got this Wegner J16 rocker for $130. I know, I know...it's rough and the last thing I need is another project, but the seat is actually perfect (just a slight gray undertone from weathering, but i rather like it). The joints are all good. I dunno how it got so wrecked on the front side and so unevenly?? The back of it is fine.
I think I will strip it and sand it to a uniform tone and then soap it up---seat too. And then I'll probably sell it because I already have one. But the transformation will be fun.

Wanted one of these for a while. "Idle Tyme" Rolling Ball clock from 1978 in black walnut. I have also included a video of one of these clocks in action (not mine) for those who have never seen one before. I can stare at this thing for hours......

Yeah, jesgord, that is really cool.
Does it have bells or an alarm? I am imaging each bearing with a small bell inside, like a Chinese baoding ball. Imagine the cacophony at 1AM and 1PM everday!

Oh my god,
I have a relative who has had that sweet clock since the Jimmy Carter administration...and it still works flawlessly, albeit noisy.
Yes,

It makes a fair amount of noise, but the acrylic top helps dampen it....a bit

Nice score on the rocking chair Spanky, I would love to come by such a find
myself. I have nothing designed by Wegner, while he's one (if not the biggest) of my favorites.
