Leif, none of these have the metal medallion. The older gentleman that I bought them from purchased these as a new set in Seattle. The bottom of the legs on the chairs don't even have a scratch or any sign of ware, they have been sitting on carpet their whole life.

I was the top bidder (silent auction) last evening for these tacky Versace platters (12).  The pattern is called Wild Rose.  They are kinda growing on me.... SDR just loves them...but  I'll probably re-donate 'em.

And this morning I snagged a Dansk teak cutting board and a brass (areca) palm frond from my favorite charity resale store.

My last 2 weeks of thrifting i've havent found any large items or furniture but did find a bunch of smalls

-small 5.5 inch teak bowl by SCAN-AM "made in denmark" anyone know anything about this company?
-13.5 inch long teak teak tray by Viking Wood  "made in denmark"  anyone know anything about this company as well? i really like the shape
-heering liqueur triangle cermaic tray by JHQ
-AS stainless steel 18-10 platter.."made in sweden" .is this a aruther salm item? i guess its missing the teak removable handles?
-fairly large Paula Crane signed and numbered etching titled "reflections II" ugly frame, would look nice with a larger matt e and maybe a maple frame

Aunt Mark,
Your frond is lovely!  And you must keep your eyes peeled for a Dansk "Torun" cheese knife or slicer (though the knife is way more beautiful).  The handle fits into the depression in the cheese board.  The handle isn't ergonomically comfortable in actual use, but it more than makes up for that in beauty, I think.

defil--i have seen Swedish stainless trays/servers like that with no wood handles, though usualy they have rounded corners.  Still, it might be original.

Picked up some swivel chairs on walnut? bases and a bedroom set and the chair on the left in the first photo.
No idea of makers, the chairs are pretty funky but comfortable.

At a local antique mall today I got the Aldo Londi bird dish for $75, which I thought was an OK price for a piece with no chips.  The oil painting is by Rudolf Pleban, and cost only $47.
