Dimmer compatibility wasn't an issue for me -- I only cared about putting a lot of light through the polarizer without the skin-searing heat that even a 60-watt incandescent produces in that lamp -- but as it happens, this particular LED bulb doesn't buzz, at least on my dimmers.

Woody, your new old house is looking great.  What is the little ram on the coffee table?  I love him!

Thank you Riki!  The ram is made by Aarikka.  I believe it is still in production.

Today I got an original litho poster from a 1972 Picasso exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum.  Its not exactly a genuine Picasso painting that I can fund my retirement with, but I will keep looking.

I think I'd much rather have a good Picasso poster that an original painting -- because the poster wouldn't "own me," and I'd have a lovely and genuine Picasso image to look at.

But if you had an original painting and sold it, you could probably buy a FLW house.  Perhaps it would hurt less to be owned by Frank than by Pablo?

Hi!

I think that I bought these 3 stacking dishes last week from my fav charity resale store.   They are signed Julie Knight (or close to that..maybe it reads Eva Gabor??).  I don't know what you call the tacky surface..Mother of Squirrel teeth?.  They have a nice weight to them.

Hi!

Aunt Mark
ps I bought something else...I will look for it.

And I bought this little white ceramic piece ( I can't read the artists name on the underside...).  It looks dirty.
Best,

Your Aunt Mark

ps if I look at the pattern long enough, I can see Jesus, Richard Nixon and Elvis Presley sweating and sharing a highbball in a dimmly lit smoky, trashy bar while Patty Hearst dances the "Slow Go-Go" to an old Grace Jones tune on the stage behind.

Fake Barcelonas?
I picked these up today and haven't had a chance to give them a good look over, but am guessing they are vintage knock offs. They are very heavy, and the frames well made, but I'm assuming fakes as the leather(?) is flaking off?
No cupcakes, but still a nice find at a local charity shop.

I would guess fake because of the flaking and also it seems like this is a chair where the fakes vastly outnumber the real ones, so the odds are in my favor!  Woo.
There have been discussions here about getting new cushions made.  I believe it was stated by people who had some experience (not me) that it's very expensive and not too many places attempt it.  Are you gonna keep them as is or sell as is, or were you thinking about getting new cushions...?
