Picked up this cupboard on Saturday! It has a Danish control medallian in the upper and the lower unit. The support piceces have the little holes in them like a Cado unit, but the upper dosen't appear like it was intened to be lowered. I'm guessing the holes are intended to add other parts horizontally? Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks Spanky!
Are you certain? Both the upper and lower have the same danish stamp (silver and black, I'm more familiar with the red and uncertain if that means anything significant) and the woods and size are a pretty perfect match. The handles on the lower are oblong and recessed with a raised lip, and on the upper you might be able to see that its a circle with one half recessed. I don't live in a MCM heavy area and it seems pretty slim to me that someone would have found both pieces and put it together.
Edit-
I'm trying to search 'H&G' with danish, box, desk, shelf and I'm not having a huge amount of luck finding info. I did come across this picture which shows a unit with both pulls, but it links to pintrest and no info. Can anyone assist with more H&G info?
HG is Hansen and Guldborg. I believe the whole thing is HG. Usually all the handles are the distinctive round shape. Easy to recognize once you know it. But here is a HG case piece with pill shaped handles providing rare precendent for that handles as well:

Thanks Leif!
It was an exciting find! I wasn't expecting to buy anything large that day, I got it home in my small SUV (hanging half out of the back driving 20 mph) and had to knock on doors up and down my street to find someone to help me unload it!
apologies for the crummy cell phone picture.
@asd!
Wow ! very nice and elegant this classic wooden desk is. I like it very much being stylish with curved and straight boundaries. Moreover it is very useful too as there are many compartments made in form of drawers where you can keep many of your important papers and other objects of routine use. It looks quite big and spacious.
