FWIW, niceguy,
I came to in a Wal*Mart parking lot a couple of years ago.
Badly shaken, I quit rum drinks for an entire month!

It would be an on going nightmare to awaken in a WalMart parking lot.

2 things I like
Wood parquet and odd home made things
really well made parquet tables. Not sure about the side wood but might be mahogany. I think they look really cool in rooms with a more sleek, modern look.
and a table. Made out of copper plumbing pipe. Someone had fun making this. Probably just get a glass top? But wondering if I can come up with something more creative. Can't wait for the verdigris.
EDIT - also got a teak Nutmeg mill. For all your ground nutmeg needs.

Love the tables. Maybe the copper one could have drop-on inlays of wood, with a groove at the edge to seat the pieces in their "holes" and the copper visible between pieces. The center could be the same, or a contrast -- maybe a piece of glass fitted to a second groove on the wood pieces ? Or stone, or solid-surface material, etc . . .

yes
I was thinking something similar. The benefit of glass, of course, is you can see the frame, which is the cool part, but I think it makes you think "oh, another glass top table". Deep thought required I think
I really appreciate the amount of effort and thought someone put into it. It has flair.

Great copper pipe table waffle.
A glass top would be the best option for viewing the "plumbing", but the top would need to have some thickness to it to have the right look. I'd like to see a square planter box (ceramic or copper) put in the middle insert. Snake plants or tall grasses would look divine. Another option would be to re-invent it into some sort of an artistic water sprinkler (aka functional lawn/ patio art...probably also considered Outsider Art for outside reasons..). I can send over a pink flamingo.
Best,
Aunt M

Love the nutmeg grater!
I'm going to have to keep an eye out for one of those. I use a little tin grater that does the job but can be hard on fingertips.
PS - fresh ground nutmeg is divine on steamed spinach. And Marion Cunningham has a recipe for muffins with 3 whole nutmegs (grated) in them--not just divine, but sublime! Though I seem to recall that people get high off nutmeg...?? Aunt Mark, do you know anything about this?

Nutmeg
I use a small microplane, but I agree this thing is pretty cool.
