it does need something inserted into the inside ring, I was thinking lots of succulents in a nice pot. I am going to the habitat for humanity today so I will look for a THICK piece of glass as a temporary solution.
As for the grater - I am going to put it up on a certain site that sounds like ShePay with an ENORMOUS price on it (to discourage). But I will allow offers. If one of my fine fellow DA'rs wants it bid something VERY MODEST and I will send it your way (just let me know it's you).
I am closing up my shop - time to relax more, read more DA
well
nutmeg always makes me think of pumpkin pie and pumpkin pie always makes me think of thanksgiving and I LOVE thanksgiving (and pumpkin pie, as it so happens)
Well, the mill is listed for $500 to dissuade the simply curious. Let me know you are a DA'r and it's yours.
I like it, someone here will love it. Simple
Or if ebay gives you the willies you can contact me @ iam_waffle at yahoo.com and we can work it out.
Should I worry???
I paid .99 cents for my teak grinder. The first time I listed it I asked something like 39$ because I just thought it was magnificent! No takers...I could not seem to justify yet another nutmeg grinder in the house. I sold it to someone in the Hamptons for $15. Me thinks they will retail it. Now I wish I had it still had it.
p.s. Spanky, if you are seeing this, I went ahead and bought the Porter-Cable US58 but I'm having trouble finding 1/4" staples. I have some Calligaris chairs that have 1/4" ply that I want to recover and I'm having no luck here locally. Really looking forward to using it.
Hazelnut-
Doesn't it take 3/8" crown staples? Do you mean 1/4" legs?
I get mine from an upholstery supply house. You can get them online. They're cheap--box of 10,000 for under $6.
I use mostly 3/8" legs, sometimes 1/2", and, rarely, 1/4".
edited to add: gotcha, the part about stapling into 1/4" ply went over my head. And no, you won't find these in a hardware store, you have to go to an upholstery supplier. Amazon has them but the ones I saw cost three times as much for some reason.

I looked at the site for the 1/4" and didn't see anything stating compatibility for the PorterCable us58. I called them and asked and was told "we don't guarantee this will fit your Porter Cable"......? Am I correct believing anything that works with Senco C should be o.k. with the Porter Cable?? I want to avoid Amazon prices. I do appreciate your help...
Hazelnut-
Yes, Senco type C will work. That's what Porter Cable recommends with this staple gun.
