I like it ! Wish I
could take credit. The colors appeal to me. The framing seems good too, if perhaps mounted upside down to the painting ? (I say that because there seems more "mat" above the image than below. But that could be the fault of photo vantage . . .)
Another cool score for my Aunt Mark.

A gift from the gals at the resale store.
Knowing that I have a small interest in airplanes, the sweetie's gave me 8 decks of playing cards from vintage airlines. I shall learn to play poker.
Best,
Aunt Mark-Card-Shark

my new carpet
As promised, here are the photos of my newly cleaned carpet. we (the carpet guy and I) decided to just reinforce the edges with thread and leave it, as is. I said to him "I love flat weave carpets", to which he said, "this was a pile carpet 150 years ago". Anyhow, a few of you here have commented in the past that whatever the carpet was, that was showing up in my photos..."hideous!". So, hope you like tis one. I had no idea the centre was white -- it was THAT filthy (and smelly).

Buckle help
my friend found this and I bought it from him. he's a brilliant picker. I have had it in my mind for a while to try and score, if I could find one, the leather-armed version of this chair. It looks like oak to me. Anyhow, there are three leather straps that attach the canvas to the chair, and all three are finished. Any thoughts on how I can replace or should I consider repair? We talked about using a belt as an option. Hans Olsen, Sweden.

phonegirl,
the leather is probably pretty dry and may well tear in another part if you repair the existing tears. I would take them to a shoemaker/luggage repair shop and have new ones made but keep the old ones. That way you will have a functional chair that still has all the original parts if you ever want to sell it to someone to whom that matters.

Found some Drexel profile pie...
Found some Drexel profile pieces. No table as the old lady who donated the set kept the table. 4 chairs, buffet and pyramid Shelf. There was also a China cabinet but one of the sliding glass doors broke and a nice scape on the top so I passed on it
All marked 1958. I am currently recovering the chairs bum cushion as I am not a fan of green embossed vinyl. will post pics once done
Don't mind the mess as this was 2 days before I moved.

Nubuck
It doesn't look like it needs much. There are specialty nubuck cleaning /grease removal kits but I wouldn't mess with that unless it's absolutely necessary. You can get a brush to bring the nap up. This material WILL show a 'patina' with use, that's okay. Keep your hands clean and don't spill barbecue sauce etc. all over it and you'll be fine.
Oh, and to keep your furniture clean, never have children. Children are beasts.

The shelf unit
is Drexel Profile, difeliciantonio ? Wild stuff . . . It's not every day you see something that makes you say "That would look good in an Organic environment." I'm not crazy about the wavy crest rail -- but the idea and overall form are sound. What is the date of your piece do you think ?
LCA, mobiles like yours look good when photographed from the floor, with the ceiling as background.

I agree about the crest on...
Yeah the shelf is profile collection. I've been looking around and haven't seen to many of them. Just 2 of them on 1stdibs.
I agree about the crest, be better if straight. I love the chairs tho. Everything Is stamped 1958. I believe the line was from 1956-1961
I am gonna do the cushions in MAHARAM KVADRAT fabric
Only paid 39.99$ for all 4 chairs. Really want the matching table or something that will go with them
