hi.
Here is the copper wall hanging won last evening. It didn't seem nearly as "southwest" late last night, and will probably be re-donated. It is signed Greg Gowen 1993. The dinner was divine.

I really like the alabaster bowl. Her dog must have been really well cared for.
I also like your copper piece. Sometimes kitsch can add that unexpected surprise to a room (especially outdoors). I am not sure if I like how close it is to the light fixture though. I think it needs to drop down a little. It feels as if the two items are fighting for the same space. Hopefully, I am explaining myself well enough.
I love your sense of adventure. I wouldn't expect anything less from you!

yup.
1964 SS Impala 2 door hardtop, matching numbers,Sweet 409, dual 4 barrel carbs, Factory a/c, 4speed, recent frame off restoration. I bought it to resell at the Barrett Jackson Car Auction. Very tight car, but still needs a little perfecting.

hi waffle.
Auction starts April 11th. I already have a Chevrolet collector in the mid-west wanting to purchase (at a slight profit). A collector friend tells me to hold it for a couple of years (in a/c storage). I'll keep you posted.
Best,
Aunt Mark

That Impala would be perfect on the circle drive of our white 1964 modernist home. Care to trade for some furniture?

That's tempting,
but as a friend pointed out, I paid about the same for it as a new 2014 (loaded) Impala retails for. It was a no-brainer. It does need some slight fine tuning (note hood alignment in photo). I don't think that it's auction ready, so I will probably keep it and store it with some other crap in a garage (a piano and a riding lawn mower). It's like driving a brand new 1964. Very powerful motor, very crude handling.
Thanks for the car compliment,
Aunt Mark
ps interior is red vinyl.

oh, and
I was unsure about the alignment of the side badging, as well. But back in 1964, they drilled holes during the building process to affix the monikers. Today they use adhesive.
Motor on,
Aunt Mark

Years ago there was a 1964 Impala car club in Vancouver. It's the only club I've ever seen where only one year was allowed. That's a head-turner you've got there.

Mark...
I can only assume Mr. Chompers will be the next proud user of the bowl? He seems like a cat who needs an alabaster bowl.
...and if anyone needs a 1964 Ford for their driveway, I'll make a fellow DAer a smashing deal. I wish I could keep it, but I'm not really a car girl... Under 12,000 miles, every inch original.
