Follow up on the "living room...
Follow up on the "living room furniture".... when I arrived at the back room to see the chair, a print out of the Eames Lounge Chair off of the Herman Miller website was taped onto the chair. If they were savvy enough to do that, I really don't know why they set it the price at $500. I'm by no means complaining btw. I'm a happy man.

Finn Juhl Model 45
I picked up this Finn Juhl Model 45 chair the other day. I think it maybe the Baker version because there wasn't a Niels Vodder stamp underneath? I'm guessing the wood is teak, I'm not an expert in identifying wood species though lol. It definitely needs some new upholstery. It was reupholstered at some point with a collaboration of leather & vinyl.

Couple more pics
Couple more pics. You can kind of see the wood underneath without whatever was added on it throughout the years.

Lucky
Was the NV45 something you were able to pick up for a song?

20 bucks.
feels recent, anyway.
bought this guy from a used furniture store a few years back. after discovering this forum, discovered what it was. sitting in it has become a much more spiritual experience, lately.
going to get some new fagas straps and maybe try to restore the wood. would howards restor-a-finish be a good idea on this?

Kosta Boda Sweetheart votives
from the local charity resale store. Not my style, but the proceeds go to a decent cause. Maybe they'll grow on me.

Cast Deco Bronze 17" Diameter
Just got it out of a house yesterday. They've gone for a pretty penny at auction.
Designed by noted art deco sculptor Robert Ingersoll Aitken.

not MCM, but
today I bought at my local charity resale store a heavy alabaster bowl that came with a history. The elderly volunteer sales clerk told me that it was the water bowl for the late Mrs. Crabtree's poodle named "Zippy". She charged me $2.12USD. I gave her a twenty. I also was the high bidder last evening (silent auction) for an outdoor wall hanging (copper). I must look at it for a bit before embarrassing myself by posting a snappy.
Cheerio to all,
Aunt Mark
