GuyinSF,
I love your little teak guy. That's just the kind of little treasure that would make my week if I found it in a thrift store for a few bucks. I'd put it on a shelf at eye level where I could pass by it daily and smile.

Love your remarks, Aunt Mark. But no, it was a thrift store and they actually treated me like a VIP probably because it was the most expensive item in the whole wide store. I left the place like I'd stolen something though......

I thought it was a scam initially too because it was CL. After the seller gave me the address and driving an hour and a half, I realized it was a thrift store. I got super lucky too because the supposed store manager had put the set in the back room for me after getting confirmation that I was serious about purchasing. Otherwise, it would have been gone in no time!!!
There's a date stamp on the inside shells that says 86. The shells are in perfect condition although the leather has some wear here and there. I'm still getting used to the grain because it's not the typical darker rosewood pattern I usually see.

Thanks!
Mark, thanks!
The Church Mouse is a favorite when we visit in the winter. The others are new to me. I can't wait to give them a visit. I have found some interesting bits at the Animal Rescue shop.
As always, a photo of your pants and a gin and tonic make the weekend brighter. Thanks for your comments!

You're a sweet potato, oddgirl.
This evenings trousers and jacket..not shown,( but Lilly P. lime green linen w/ pink print silk lining...) were borrowed from either SDR or EamesHead. I'm just not sure. I'm blazed.
Best,
Aunt Mark

MY PANTS!
I am not sure if this is credit or blame...
I would be pretty nervous in those pants.
How is it some people can just get away with stuff?
I blame SDR

Finn Juhl Diplomat Desk
This was the result of an urgent move. It was pushed out the door for 500.
It's been the week of desks for us.
The third image needs no introduction. Illusive barely begins to describe that puppy. Found last week exactly as you see it there. A bunch of computer crap cluttering up it's abused top. Oh the horror. I enjoy putting the love back into discoveries like that though. I'll bring it back and offer it up.

Hey Spanky
What you said is exactly how I felt when I found the little teak guy at the Goodwill. Ive scored some really amazing big furniture pieces like wall units and credenzas but sometimes a certain much smaller find with much less value can somehow fill a much bigger space in your heart.
