We have had this wall fan since the 80's , and were considering selling it, and started researching prices. We found one that was made by Curtis Jere, and are now curious if this is also one of his. There doesnt seem to be a signiture or date on it. Any help or ideas how to find out are greatly appreciated.
Did the owner of that second one have any concrete proof that it was Jere? It's very common for people to post information, often in good faith but sometimes with the hope that no one will check on it and they'll get more money for whatever it is. Unless something has an original mark or label, I would take it with a grain of salt. I don't know everything Jere made but I would guess that that fan is not by him. It looks too pedestrian. But I could be wrong.
I can confidently state these are by Artisan House/Jere 54 X 27" because I just bought one signed "Jere 1989" on the front & it has also the paper brochure (the latter might be rare, to use a word I try to avoid) stating its original sell price was $299. Note: I am an expert on Bakelite objects and jewelry, not MCM, although I am learning fast.
