I have to ask why you're using flash? I turned away from your site at 90% Close, but you may be losing custom, a simple html page at 40-100k will load so fast that people want to stick around.
It looks a little steampunk, an interesting aesthetic, hadn't heard of it until I saw District 9 and looked at Greg Broadmoors work. Have you heard of him? He works from New Zealand and does a lot of film design work, his Grordbort stuff is entertaining.
