I'm attempting to identify a lamp I bought. The purchase was based on gut instinct and a distant memory of having seen one many years ago on some high falutin, retro website.

The lamp is over six foot tall and made of black steel rod with separate plastic tube lighting.

My enquiry is simple. Do you recognise it ? any information you could offer on origin, date and designer would be most welcome. ( see web link for image )

Somebody married the two.
Thats not originally a lamp it is a clothing rack with a light wrapped around it.

As mentioned, I actually saw one on some retro website years back. Exactly the same, tube light and all.

Maybe it's the same one.
Maybe but I know the clothing rack I see them quite often ,and they never have the light.They come in male and female form.I think they were made in China.

i think
you may have purchased a mannequin with a light draped over it.i doubt it is the type of designer piece you are hoping for.

Gets worse. Found the female version on ebay. Vintage Ikea. That begs a question ?
