This black chair with aluminum base has made in Denmark on the bottom and "Labofa" in script etched into the cylindrical pivot on the back of the seat back. The casters are very neat--kind of streamlined almost. The base is the most striking feature of the chair. Anyone know who designed this chair and who Labofa is? the manufacturer I assume.

Thanks for the link...
It explains the link, but not my particular chair. An M40 it is not. Mine is a high chair, the kind you would use at a drafting table or a high counter. And it has this striking pentagonal cage at the base of the pedestal that acts as a combination base and raised foot rest. I wonder who the designer was? Your link mentions Henning Jensen and Torben Valeur as the architects cum designers who did the M40, then mentions Jacob Jensen's Labomatic chairs. Hmmmmm.
