That is so good looking, maybe it is me but for some reason I love every thing Girard did, simple elegant, colorful, what a gift to make some thing so un important as a ashtray look so good,
I know in the 60s when every one smoked, how fun it would have been to hold a colorful ashtray like that.

I love it, had bidded $110 for it but I can see it making around 200 which I thought is high. Cool though and very interesting 🙂 How about we post more Girard/Braniff items in here? There were some nice chairs on ebay a while back which had the Braniff logos on the underside designed by Girard.
